OK this is my artist that I like from the Chinese galleries. He is JIA HAO YI and does abstracted horses and other animals. I liked this one as it shows the motion and energy. It is ink on paper and has been sold . His work is collected by major museums in China. I have tried my hand at sumi-e , but can't get it yet. I would like to try more. I think sumi brush painting and calligraphy are beautiful. I would love to try my hand at it some time. In this drawing of a horse, I sence energy as well as calm. It's an interesting skill be beable to capture both instances at once.
